What is Podiatry?

The Podiatry service is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases affecting the feet and lower limbs in children and adults across Staffordshire.

The job of a Podiatrist is to help people with sore or injured feet, so they can get better and avoid going to the hospital. Podiatry is an important team in treating patients with foot wounds and preventing amputations. They can also carry out minor surgeries and provide special shoe inserts to help people walk better and/ or help heal foot wounds.

The aim of a podiatrist is to help you to keep your own feet healthy.
