The High Potential Scheme (HPS) is an inclusive accelerated talent scheme, exposing health and social care staff to different ways of working, networking across organisations / systems and learning from different processes to benefit the populations we serve. HPS is:
- Funded and supported by NHSE and the HPS Careers Hub (hosted by MPFT), the scheme is led and managed by systems to facilitate system leadership and cultural change,
- It’s a 2-year scheme for mid-career systems leaders, B8a-c (or equivalent) aspiring to be executive leaders within the next 5-8 years,
- The scheme follows a 70:20:10 delivery model - 70% experiential placements across health and care; 20% wraparound support (sponsorship, coaching, executive mentoring, action learning sets); 10% workshops on contemporary leadership.
HPS Vision: The High Potential Scheme (HPS) will ensure that a stronger and more diverse pipeline of aspirant leaders progresses to our most senior executive roles within the next 5-8 years
