IAPT stands for Improving Access to Psychological Therapies and is designed to make sure everyone can access therapy for low mood and a range of anxiety problems.
Our IAPT teams provide a range of recommended, evidence-based talking therapies for people who would like support for their mental health.
They offer information, guidance and talking therapies in a variety of different formats including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety
- EMDR for trauma
- Interpersonal therapy
- Couples therapy
- Counselling for depression
These services can also help people with a range of persistent physical symptoms and long-term physical conditions.
