Education and Development Centre Ribbon Cut.png

On Wednesday 13 September Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) proudly cut the ribbon to their newly refurbished Education and Development Centre, following months of modernisation to the facilities.

The re-opening was done in partnership with Keele University, further marking MPFT’s achievement in being awarded University status earlier this year.

The Education & Development Centre is a purpose-built training centre consisting of a large lecture theatre and various size training and meeting rooms. The space is available to all staff within the Trust, and now to all staff and students at Keele University.

The ribbon cutting was led by Jacqueline Small, MPFT Chair and Mike Farrar CBE, Pro-Chancellor at Keele University. Jacqueline said:

“The Education & Development Centre is a vital asset in our commitment to training and education. We have spent the last few months modernising and improving the space, including installing new technology, making it even better to learn and collaborate in.

It is crucial our staff have space and resources available to them and I’m really pleased we have these fantastic facilities on site.

I’m delighted that through our growing partnership with Keele University, even more people will be able to benefit from the space. Thank you to Mike for attending our opening, and we look forward to continuing our partnership.”
