Redwoods Centre AHP Support Workers thanked for consistently going above and beyond page thumbnail

Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Assistants and Activity Coordinators at The Redwoods Centre, were presented with certificates of recognition as part of MPFT’s AHP Support Worker Day celebrations in October.

Wendy Thomas-Parkes and Dawn Thomas from Holly Ward and Nicky Carney and Jackie Siddle from Oak Ward, were recognised for going above and beyond for patients.

Clinical Lead Physiotherapist Samantha McIver nominated the four staff members, who work closely with The Redwoods Centre AHP team. Sam said: “I nominated Wendy, Dawn, Holly and Nicky for the award because they consistently go above and beyond in their roles. They work with patients with complex care needs due to their physical health needs and their mental health needs, but they successfully tailor their interventions in order to provide the best therapeutic input for our patients. They also play a vital role in our patient’s recovery and help to work towards the patient’s discharge destinations and support the day to day running of the wards.”

Winners of the Trust wide awards were chosen by the senior management team.

The awards were presented by Anton Dias, Inpatient Service Manager, Sharon Madden, Holly Ward Manager and Sarah Farrow, Oak Ward Manager.
