New digital resources for people using forensic services page thumbnail

People using services provided by the Specialist Care Group of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust who have also been involved with the criminal justice system now have access to a new package of digital resources to support their mental wellbeing.

SilverCloud offers a range of well-being and mental health programmes designed to give the 1 in 4 of us who struggle with mental health challenges the tools and skills to feel better.

Forensic inpatient, Liaison and Diversion, Offender Personality Disorder; Integrated Offender Management and Mental Health Treatment Requirement services at MPFT have signed up to provide this additional resource which will be free to access for people supported by these services. The online programmes can be accessed at any time and include activities and videos, which use proven methods such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, to address a range of issues such as stress, sleep problems, anxiety and low mood. Some of the modules are self guided and others include regular support and feedback from an online supporter.

Howard King, Managing Director, Specialist Care Group said “This is a really useful addition to the services we are able to offer to those needing our support. SilverCloud has a great track record and excellent service user feedback”.

People using the services involved can speak to someone involved in their care to find out how to access the programme.
