INFANT FEEDING HELP AND SUPPORT ON RETURN HOME
Breastfeeding support at the Royal Stoke Maternity Unit (UHNM)
Breastfeeding support is provided by all staff. There is also an Infant feeding team who provide additional support within the maternity unit, via telephone and face to face following discharge home.
The Infant feeding team can be contacted on 01782 672212 or bleep through main switchboard 01782 715444 bleep 15811. Support is available during pregnancy and following the birth of your baby.
A 24 hrs helpline is available for all feeding issues at Royal Stoke Maternity Unit - 01782 672200

Parent & Voluntary Led Breastfeeding Support Groups - November - December 2025
The parent and volunteer led breastfeeding support groups listed opposite offer a warm welcome to breastfeeding mums and their babies; providing a valuable chance to meet up with other parents, share ideas and practice breastfeeding when out and about.
However, the groups are not usually attended by a Heath Professional so if you feel breastfeeding is not going so well or have concerns regarding the health of your baby it is advised that you seek advice from your Health Visitor, Midwife or GP.
