The Health Service Journal (HSJ) has published new analysis of the results of the 2024 NHS Staff Survey of bank workers, which has placed MPFT in the top 10 of non-acute trusts recommended as a place to work.

The findings follow the recent results of the full NHS Staff Survey, which found 75% of respondents stated MPFT is a great place to work – almost 10% higher than the national average.

Alex Brett, Chief People Officer said: “Ensuring MPFT is a fantastic place to work for each and every member of our staff is a core principle of the Trust, so I’m really pleased we are in the top 10 non-acute trusts nationally recommended by bank staff as a place to come to work.

“Our commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our workforce, alongside respecting individual differences and offering the opportunity to grow and develop were reflected in our recent NHS Staff Survey results, which found that MPFT ranked as one of the best in the country.

“MPFT wouldn’t be what it is without the hard work and dedication of our wonderful staff, including those working on our bank, and we continue to do all we can to see them flourish.”

The results of the full NHS Staff Survey also found 81% of respondents feel their individual differences are respected at work, more than 6% above the national average; and 79% of staff say they have opportunities to improve their knowledge and skills, almost 5% higher than the national average.
