Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) has been ranked second nationally out of 61 non-acute trusts in the first results from NHS England’s new NHS Oversight Framework (NOF).

The framework is a national assessment of how NHS trusts are performing, with results now publicly available through an interactive dashboard that allows people to compare trusts across England.

MPFT’s position places it among the very best-performing trusts in the country, and is a particular achievement given the size, breadth and diversity of services the Trust provides, making it one of the largest and most complex organisations in its category.

Neil Carr, Chief Executive, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and testament to the skill, commitment and compassion that colleagues across MPFT show every day. This result belongs to every single one of our staff – whether you work in direct care, support services or leadership. Your dedication to patients, service users, families and communities has been recognised on the national stage, and I could not be prouder.

“While this recognition is something to celebrate, we know we must build on this success, keep improving, and never lose sight of our purpose – providing outstanding care and support to the people and communities we serve. Getting there is one thing, but staying there is another. We’ll only do that by staying true to our values, and to all the things that make MPFT the organisation it is.”
