This event is run by the Wellbeing & Recovery College.

There is now more and more evidence of the health benefits of treating ourselves with kindness and the downsides of harsh self-criticism. This course, based on the work of Prof. Paul Gilbert, aims to hi9hlight the mental and physical systems that drive us, illustrate why self-compassion can help with our general wellbeing, and teach a range of exercises to shift our minds to a more compassionate state.
