My Health, My Way is an online collection of trusted information, all in one handy place. The purpose of My Health, My Way is to make it easy for people to find good quality information on all the important topics for healthy ageing in one convenient place.
The information is all from publicly available websites, videos, and leaflets, including how to find local groups and services near where you live.

Who is My Health, My Way for?
The pilot is aimed at people aged 65 and over.
Why have I been invited to join?
Your GP practice has signed up to the My Health, My Way pilot and have identified this may be helpful to you.
Does My Health, My Way store, share, or process any of my personal information?
No. My Health, My Way does not contain information about anyone. It is safe to access My Health, My Way with a friend or family member without them being able to see any of your personal information.
What should I do if I want to join?
If your invitation came by email, or by letter with 'Group 1' written in the top right-hand corner, we already have your email address so you don't need to do anything. Recap Health will email a registration link to you in the coming weeks - please look out for it. When it arrives, click on the link to the simple registration page. It's safe to click on the link.
If your invitation came by letter with 'Group 3' written in the top right-hand corner, that means you do not have an email address registered in your GP records. You can provide us with an email address to sign up for My Health, My Way by visiting the webpage or scanning the QR code in your invitation letter.
Recap Health will send a registration link to the email address you provide (this may take 1 to 2 weeks). When it arrives, just click on the link to a simple registration page. It's safe to click on the link.
Please note: The email address you give us will not be entered into your GP records, it will only be used for joining My Health, My Way.
What if I don't have an email address?
If you don't have an email address you can ask a friend or family member to help you use My Health, My Way. There's no information about you in My Health, My Way so if someone else helps you to use it, they would not be able to see any of your personal records.
You can provide us the email address of a friend or family member (with their permission) by visiting the webpage or scanning the QR code in your invitation letter.
The email address you provide will not be entered into your GP records, it will only be used for joining My Health, My Way.

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS) is a partnership of NHS, local authority, voluntary, and community organisations with a shared vision to make Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent the healthiest place to live and work. Who is Recap Health?
Recap Health is the name of a digital patient education system, owned by Health2Works. The Recap Health digital platform is hosting the My Health, My Way web application developed by NHS staff at MPFT.
Can I join My Health, My Way without sharing my email address and NHS number with Recap Health?
No. Recap Health requires an email address and an NHS number for your account to be created.
What happens to my personal information that is shared with Recap Health?
The personal information shared with Recap Health is your name, email address and NHS number. This information is used by Recap Health in order to allow you to use My Health, My Way. Your personal information will be deleted if you or MPFT asks Recap Health to do this.
How can I opt out of having my email address shared with Recap Health?
To opt out of having your email address shared with Recap Health, visit the weblink or scan the QR code in your invitation letter. If you are unable to do this please contact the NHS Staying Well Service on 01827 306204.

Why is the health advice only available in English?
This is a new offer, and we are trialling it in English at first. This will help us to decide if it is useful and if improvements need to be made. We will provide My Health, My Way in other languages in future if the pilot is successful.
Can I get the My Health, My Way health advice without being online?
No; however, if you do not have access to the internet or an email address you can join My Health, My Way with the help of a family member, friend, neighbour, or carer who has an email address and access to the internet.
There's no information about you in My Health, My Way so they would not be able to see any of your personal records.
How can I give feedback on My Health, My Way once I have used it?
You can comment on the information within the web application on each page by scrolling down to the box 'Tell us what you think' at the end of each page. Alternatively, you can let us know you are interested in joining a focus group about My Health, My Way by emailing myhealth
If I am not interested in My Health, My Way, how can I tell you why?
If you don't wish to register for My Health, My Way, but would like to tell us why, including telling us that you would like to use it in a different language, please complete the online feedback form.
You can also consent to us inviting you to a focus group for people who do not wish to take up the offer using the same form.
