Having a long-term condition, such as diabetes, asthma or pain, can take its toll on our mental health. The question and answer session below is with one of our therapists, who has found a way of coping with their condition in day to day life.
During a routine visit of the Care Quality Commission carers expressed confidence in the ward, they had free access to the ward, and nurses were helpful and open. Both carers said they felt included in the decisions on the treatment of their family member.
Earlier this year, one of two wings of the George Bryan Centre was destroyed by fire. The second wing was later temporarily closed, on the grounds of safety. Temporary arrangements were put in place by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, who provide the services and they now want to design the permanent solutions.
