A message of health, wellbeing and equality is being promoted at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (MPFT) Festival on 11 September.

Alongside stands and activities showcasing the physical, mental health, learning disability and adult social care services MPFT provides, the event at St George's Hospital in Stafford will also see the launch of the NHS Rainbow Badge scheme at the Trust.

Staff will be proudly wearing their Rainbow Badge after pledging their commitment to actively support gay, bisexual, transgender/ transsexual plus (LGBT+) awareness and inclusion.

The event gets underway at 10am and will be followed at 1pm with the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting, which will include MPFT’s annual report and accounts.

Martin Gower, Chairman of MPFT said: “The Festival is one of the highlights of MPFT’s calendar. This year’s event has the theme of health and wellbeing and we will be looking at how we can support both our local communities and our workforce, alongside promoting a message of LGBT+ inclusion through the Rainbow Badge scheme.

“I look forward to welcoming people to the event, where they can get a flavour of the services we provide in Shropshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. It promises to be a fun and engaging day.”

The Trust Festival and Annual Members’ Meeting takes place at The Learning Centre, St George's Hospital, Stafford, ST16 3SR.
