Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is strengthening the support it provides to young people through an innovative website offering important information about physical and mental health and wellbeing.

The Health for Teens website delivers interactive messages and advice, covering a range of topical subjects, such as Coronavirus and online gaming that promote health and wellbeing and help young people to make the right choices.

The site, aimed at 11-19-year-olds signposts to a number of children’s and families services provided by the Trust, including:

  • ChatHealth text messaging service to contact school nurses
  • Immunisations
  • Help to quit smoking
  • School Nursing Team in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent
  • Anxiety and mental health

Claire Bailey, Managing Director for MPFT’s Children and Families services said: “The site not only gives young people helpful health and wellbeing guidance, but can be accessed by parents, carers and teachers to utilise the variety of resources available such as interactive games, signpost to local health services or download relevant information materials. People can also search for contact details of their child’s School Nursing Team.”
