Holly Ward at the Redwoods Centre in Shrewsbury is celebrating after being the first of MPFTs inpatient mental health wards to achieve a Gold standard Quality Award.

The award was presented virtually by MPFT’s Chief Executive, Neil Carr, after the team successfully evidenced its work to continuously improve the service offer and quality within their area.

An in person presentation followed on 6 September with Cathy Riley, Managing Director of MPFT’s Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Care Group.

Ward Manager Sharon Madden said on behalf of the Holly Ward team: “Receiving the Gold Quality Award has provided a real boost to the team, as we have collectively been recognised for all of the dedication that we give to our client group.

“We are very proud to have been acknowledged as the first inpatient mental health services ward within MPFT services to achieve this.”

Holly ward provides inpatient mental health services primarily for patients aged over 65.
