Staff at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are being encouraged to join the debate about equality.

A series of conversations will bring together staff from diverse groups across the organisation, to share ideas which will lead to action, informing the Trust’s Equality and Inclusion programme.

Events will focus on LGBT, disability and long term conditions, religion, belief and spirituality, and race.

The team are delighted that Yvonne Coghill, Director – WRES (Workforce Race Equality Standard) Implementation in NHS England will be joining the race event. Yvonne has been voted by colleagues in the NHS as one of the top 50 most inspirational women, one of the top 50 most inspirational nurse leaders and one of the top 50 BME pioneers.

Mrs Balwinder Kaur, Head of Equality and Inclusion at MPFT said, “We want to do everything possible to make our Trust a great place to work, where everyone feels valued for the part they play in making our services the best they can be for our service users and their relatives. It is fantastic that Yvonne is joining us to share her experience and expertise on the equality agenda in the NHS and beyond”.
